Common questions
The answers you're after
All the things worth knowing before you book a fine line tattoo course with us here in Essex. Can't see what you're looking for? Drop us a line.
Can I join if I've never tattooed before?
Absolutely. Both courses are built with total beginners in mind. We begin right at the basics, machines, needles, hygiene and linework, and work up from there until you're tattooing real skin. If you already tattoo, you're just as welcome: we'll shape the sessions around sharpening your fine line technique.
Are the courses properly accredited?
They are. The 4-day and 2-day courses are both CPD accredited, and each one includes a recognised Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Level 2 module covering hygiene, cross-contamination and safe practice. Everyone leaves with a CPD accredited certificate of completion.
How do the 4-day and 2-day courses compare?
The 4-day course at £850 is our full training. It goes deeper into every topic, gives you more hands-on time, includes a supervised live model session, and sends you home with a starter kit. The 2-day course at £600 is a quicker, intensive run through the essentials. Both suit beginners, are CPD accredited and include the IPC Level 2 module. Whichever you choose, the small groups mean you get real one-to-one attention.
Where in Essex are your courses held?
Every course runs in person at our established studio in Essex. We'll send you the full address along with parking and travel details once you've booked. Students travel in comfortably from across the county, including Chelmsford, Colchester, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Braintree and Brentwood.
Will I get to tattoo real skin?
Yes. You'll spend plenty of time practising on synthetic skin first. On the 4-day course you then carry out a supervised tattoo on a real, consenting model, with an experienced artist beside you the whole time. It's where everything you've learned clicks into place.
Will I receive a certificate, and can I tattoo professionally afterwards?
You'll come away with a CPD accredited certificate of completion and your Infection Prevention & Control Level 2. To work professionally in the UK you'll also need to register with your local council for a tattoo licence. We walk you through exactly what's needed and how to apply while you're on the course, and our support carries on long after you leave.
What do the courses cost?
The 4-day Fine Line Tattoo Course is £850 and the 2-day Intensive is £600. Each one covers all your equipment, a CPD accredited certificate and an Infection Prevention & Control Level 2 module. Payment plans are available too, so just ask.
What does the price cover?
Every machine, needle and consumable is supplied throughout, alongside the IPC Level 2 module and your CPD accredited certificate. The 4-day course also adds a professional fine line starter kit to keep and a live model session. And because we're an established academy, your place comes with one-to-one mentorship for life and the chance to retrain with us free of charge whenever you'd like a refresher.
How do I reserve a place?
Just fill in the booking form on the site with the course and dates you'd like, and we'll get back to you to confirm availability and hold your spot. Because we cap every group at four students to protect that one-to-one time, places go quickly, so it's worth booking early.
